
The Dahlia Woods Gallery in Dallas, Texas is currently exhibiting paintings by Ohlone College's own Art professor, Kenney Mencher.
Mencher paints in the style of realism and bases much of his work on Film Noir.Originally from New York, NY, Mencher earned an MA in Art History from the University of California, Davis. He then earned an MFA in painting from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
Before coming to Ohlone College, He taught at a number of institutions, including the University of Chicago and Texas A&M University.
His work has been shown in New Mexico, Rhode Island, Texas and several cities in California. Next up, Mencher will be a part of a two-person show at the Fort Collins Museum of Art in Colorado in March 2009.
